About this site
We compare software for people who run a business on their own or with one or two others — the plan you can realistically start on, what actually forces you onto a more expensive tier, and how hard it is to leave again.
How we work
- We quote the vendor’s own pages. Every plan price we publish is read off the company’s own pricing page, and we print the date we read it.
- We say what we did not test. A comparison built from published plan information is a narrower claim than “we used this for six months”. Where we have only done the first, the page says so.
- We do not estimate. A figure we could not obtain is left out and labelled, not filled in with a guess.
- We do not reuse other people’s text or data. What we publish is our own comparison. Where a vendor’s terms do not permit quoting their pages, we do not cover that vendor.
- We correct in public. When we get something wrong we publish the correction with the date, rather than editing the mistake away.
A note on this domain
This site previously published price comparisons for goods bought in Japan, which is where the domain name comes from. We stopped that on 22 August 2026 and removed those pages. They are gone rather than hidden, and nothing on this site now relates to them. We are keeping the note here rather than quietly changing the subject.
